Our #1 Grade Deerskin Leather offers the softness and flexibility deerskin is known for with added body, strength, and structure. Featuring a semi-matte grain front with a soft sueded back, this heavier deerskin is ideal for moccasins, medicine bags, pouches, garment accents, regalia, beadwork, appliqué, trim, fringe, and leather accessories where a more substantial feel is desired. This current batch is thicker than our typical deerskin and has a slightly springy feel when handled; while selected as #1 Grade for its good usable areas, the natural surface may include linear grain or crease lines and some areas of surface cracking. As a natural material, each hide is unique and may vary in grain, markings, shape, and texture.
